Hindu Wedding Celebration

When planning their wedding, once they found The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, everything fell in line. “I just fell in love with the architecture and the history of the place,” Charna recalls. “Vishal is half Indian and has a very large Indian family, and I am 100 percent Jewish,” Charna says. “Since we both follow our religions to a certain extent, we thought it was important to incorporate both.” The four-day event began with a welcome dinner, followed by a sangeet on the second evening. On the third day they held a Jewish/American wedding and reception, opting for a blush pink, gold and white theme. “I wanted it very elegant, but not too over-the-top,” Charna recalls. The couple’s dog, Jewels, joined the celebrations. “We also thought it was super necessary to include her in the wedding. She did a great job!”
